The local skip hire firm was going on the defensive. Again. That makes a change, doesn't it? They'd just learned that a new company, calling themselves Skip Hire UK, had just opened in some far off cityand were promoting themselves as the last word in the world of skip hire. This would never do. Not at all. Ever.
The skip hire firm bought a new car, and decided to outfit it with so many dangerous gadgets and gizmo's that not even Q from the James Bond stories would be able to do better. Incidentally, who's your favourite Bond? Mine's Timothy Dalton, by a very long way. He's just the total embodiment of the Bond in the original Ian Fleming books and short stories, and he was also the first Bond I ever saw, actually. Terribly good, so he is. Oh yes.
Anyway, this new car had already been examined by many insurance groups, who had declared it unsafe to drive and a menace to traffic. The skip hire firm were thrilled with this news, as well you can imagine given their predilection for causing chaos and mayhem on an international scale. They didn't like insurance groups - who does? They thought that insurance was for wimps, and they liked living on the edge as much as possible. Their new car was the ultimate expression of that approach to life, and they wasted no time in setting about terrorising unsuspecting motorists and pedestrians with their new purchases.
All the insurance groups they had approached were utterly furious about all this, but the skip hire firm paid no attention; after all, they were just being unreasonably defensive, weren't they? So what if they hurtled downthe bicycle lane at 200 miles an hour, crushing and killing all those foolish enough to get in their way? It wasn't their fault, was it? Why was everyone getting so defensive about it all, they wondered? They were only doing what came naturally to their sick twisted minds, after all.
Fortunately, Timothy Dalton's James Bond was on hand to stop their reign of terror and save the day. God bless you, Tim.
