I opened up my first business last year called 'Davids Auto Repairs'. It had a ring to it I thought. I always thought of the word auto as an impressive one because I always think of when I do something well as almost being on autopilot. My friend worked with an insurance group called 'auto insurance'. It was a new company but an ambitious one.
Don't let the fact he drove around on a moped put you off. He had clear and detailed ambitions.I had other friends who were driving instructors which was a better job then it sounded because they all loved their driving anyway. They all seemed to like the feeling of being superior because they could drive well.I never wanted to work for an insurance group. Not there there is anything wrong working for an insurance group, but it didn't excite me. I didn't wake up every morning feeling I was missing out - let's put it that way.
I had few possessions. After all I've said about mopeds, now is the time for me to confess that I myself own a moped. You see I bought mine because it was going for really cheap and I needed a vehicle. Public transport was costing me too much.I never really had any problems with my Moped who I decided to call Sheila. It wasn't something I showed off to my mates but then I liked the fact it was cheap and simple to operate.
I liked that I could park it anywhere without any fear it'd get stolen.I found myself thinking of ways to develop my new business. However as it was my first time - I sought advice from everyone I knew. I went on the Internet and did extensive research, I even went to the library.I sat there in quiet and took notes when I could. I knew that long sessions would dull my senses so I made sure to set myself targets. I think that's one of the most important things when you start a business.
You have to be honest with yourself and realize exactly what your good at and what your not. It's essential not too spread yourself over too large a surface.
